Oddworld artist to be a guest of honor at LepreCon 39 in May

Raymond SwanlandRaymond Swanland was recently named artist guest of honor at LepreCon 39. He has worked on designing the Oddworld video game universe as well as contributions for RPG and card game powerhouse Wizards of the Coast, book covers for Tor and work for Dark Horse Comics, including Aliens, Predator and Aliens vs. Predator.

Comic book illustrator, colorist and writer Shelby Robertson is “local artist guest of honor.” Nebula-winning sci-fi novelist Jack McDevitt is the author guest of honor, and Nancy Freeman the musical guest. Jon Schindehette, senior creative director for Dungeons & Dragons at Wizards of the Coast, represents the art industry as a guest of honor.

LepreCon 39 will take place May 9-12 at the Phoenix Marriott Mesa, 200 N. Centennial Way, Mesa. Scope out the whole 2013 Valley genre convention scene at the Nerdvana convention calendar page.
