Captain’s Log, Stardate May 24-27, 2012: William Shatner, who warped to eternal stardom as Star Trek’s Capt. James T. Kirk, will headline the next Phoenix Comicon this Memorial Day Weekend at the Phoenix Convention Center and Hyatt Regency.
This news comes as convention organizers begin announcing guests for the event that just keeps getting bigger every year.
Shatner will appear only on the Saturday of the con.
All together now: Connnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
Jeremy Bulloch, the actor who portrayed Boba Fett in the original Star Wars trilogy (and the cowardly Imperial officer who used Princess Leia as a human shield at Cloud City in The Empire Strikes Back), will also be at the convention. He’s also red in episodes of the classic Doctor Who TV series as well as a small role in the Star Wars prequel Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.
Other guests announced this past week include horror author Yvonne Navarro, 24-year-old fantasy author Sam Sykes, anime and video game voice actor Vic Mignogna, comics artists Greg Horn, George Perez and Arthur Suydam, sci-fi author Jon S. Lewis, young adult fantasy author Janni Lee Simner and sci-fi/fantasy novelist and comics writer Jeffrey J. Mariotte, who co-owns the legendary genre bookstore Mysterious Galaxy.
