Sure there are other Blizzard games out there, but this week is ALL about the new Heroes of the Storm game!!
Just like last week, the Blizzard Release Effect is in full force because all games except for Heroes of the Storm are slowing down a bit right now BUUUUUT their art departments did not slow down at all giving us homages of the Avengers (WoW, Diablo, StarCraft, HearthStone) and Star Wars (Diablo, Heroes, StarCraft, Heroes again, WoW)!! Oh and they had some great tributes from Heroes (Diablo, StarCraft, and WoW) for the Mayweather-Pacquiao fight!!
Diablo 3 – Like free stuff? Then check out the Goblin Bank giveaway!! I just entered, and was among the first 50 people, so with a low turnout maybe one of us Arizonians will win!! Do you like to gamble with Kadala? If so, I think you need to visit the Kadala Simulator and find out how lucky (or unlucky) you can get with her! Of course no Blitz would be complete without a Play Your Way Thursday this time focusing on a fiery Demon Hunter build or a few changes in a PTR build that doesn’t have a whole lot of content!
HearthStone – A very slow week for HearthStone as the only news is the Final Rankings so you can find out if you made the Top 100 and that 30 Million players have joined the game!
Heroes of the Storm – Lets start out slow with the Weekly Sale featuring Brightwing and Kerrigan that ended just a few hours to go, and then the Weekly Sale featuring Falstad and Valla that just started! Okay, what would be better than being at the launch party in London on June 1st? How about winning tickets to it?!?! Check out the contests you can enter!! Then check out the recap of the Heroes of the Dorm too! Okay. Here is the big news. Are you ready? Kael’thas and MANY other friends (skins and mounts too) are joining us in Heroes of the Storm!!! Make sure you join the Pyroblasty edition of the Brawl with the Blues on the 13th to get more details!! As a nice cherry on top, you can dig into the Developer Insights for details behind quite a few changes that will be going into the game soon too!
For me, this is the game I’m spending time on right now anyways because I realized that with this going right into Live play, what I do now in Beta affects what I can do at that point on June 2nd AND getting the most heroes to level 5 can get me the gold bonus associated with that achievement so I can horde gold away for whatever I want on release day!!
Overwatch – Don’t miss out on track jackets featuring the game! Also, did you know the intro trailer won a Webby?!?
StarCraft 2 – Just like HS, there was another slow week here as well since a Balance Update for Legacy of the Void is the only item over the past week! Oh, and hope you had a Happy Broodmother’s Day!!
World of Warcraft – First off, let’s focus on Patch 6.2 in the PTR because it introduces new features like Bonus Events (WoW’s take on Diablo’s bounties) and Adventure Guide which is a guided tour for your character (and I think that will be a great idea especially if you have taken time off from WoW, so it goes well with them releasing the Wow Token so game time can be bought with WoW gold) and then 6.1.2 Hotfixes that really don’t have that much content in them after all. In other news, Blizzard is taking WoW’s Iron Horde to the massive metal music festival Hellfest 2015 in France and then we have an awesome Grommash Hellscream cosplay too!
