If you have not had a chance to get in Blizzard’s free to play game, Heroes of the Storm, the Open Beta is the perfect time to get in!

We continue to see the Blizzard Release Effect as there have not been a whole lot of updates to their other games, but there are still some very cool updates to see in this week’s article!

Diablo 3Patch 2.2.1 went live this week but there really wasn’t a whole lot to the patch as they were minor bug fixes!  Want to see what the special event looked like this week?  That’s as close as I got this week, so I hope that these special goblins remain in the game even though the anniversary buff has worn off!  Are you looking forward to playing Heroes of the Storm?  Do you want to see how Diablo looks like getting out of a tube in London?  Of course you do!!  Have you played a Monk build before and found yourself wondering what gear or skill builds are out there?  Then check out the latest Play Your Way Thursday to get a few tips, including Thunderfury!!

HearthStone – Blizzard shares with us a Rogue deck that is creature heavy and does look kind of interesting, plus you can get some more ideas in the Twitter commentary too, and thanks the community for joining in on the Fireside Gatherings for Blackrock Mountain!

Heroes of the StormOpen Beta has begun, so everybody can get in now!  With Open Beta, Blizzard has also added Global Play to the game so that means it is split by regions just like every other Blizzard game too!  There are also some tips to play fair by letting you know how to mute players from the scoreboard, or how to enable/disable Allied chat!  Want to help Kotaku make a guide for HotS?  How about learning more about the game?  Check out lesson 2 from TGNSquadron’s Heroes Academy which is focused on getting to level 10!  Interested in new skins for Sonya and Gazlowe?  I am!

See who won the Nexus Calling contests for the videos and Facebook cover photo categories!  Then get ready for the next contest brought to you by Blizzard and DeviantArt not only being judged by Samwise Didier, but an original sketch by him is one of the prizes as well!!  Also see the amazing work done in the final entry of the posts that give us a “cosplay” of Monarch Brightwing!

StarCraft 2 – There have been MANY weeks where I post Balance Updates from Legacy of the Void that are kind of meaningless, but this week that is not the case as there has been the introduction of a new Terran unit (Liberator) and the Starport gets changed up again to make different upgrade paths again.  Then check out Death TV as a new mod in the Arcade, new sounds to the Cyclone unit too, and the last pairing for Group C to get a chance to play the WCS in Toronto!

World of Warcraft – I started the week with reading a very insightful article from Kotaku about trying to relive what some consider the “glory days” of WoW and just how hard it is to recreate that feeling again.  Was David Letterman your late night host?  Enjoy this tribute to him from Blizzard!  Then check out the pet preview, itemization changes, Polygon’s review of the new zone for Patch 6.2, and some minor bug fixes for Patch 6.1.2.  We also couldn’t leave out some really awesome cosplay either!

Twitter Question of the Week – Q:  @Diablo Now that the anniversary buff is no more, do you have stats on how many of those “other” goblins spawned and did NOT get killed?  A:  Not getting the cow portal to pop for me in D3, it was on my mind all week to ask this question and I didn’t get to it until a few hours before this post went up, but I wonder if there was a way that in game we could know if the special event was somewhere in the map so that we wouldn’t miss it if it did happen to spawn.
