2014 Amazing Arizona Comic Con to showcase Kirkman’s cadaverous creations

It’s a new year and that means it’s time once again for the Amazing Arizona Comic Con. The fourth annual event will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center from Jan. 24-26. This ever-expanding show is boasting a huge line-up of comic and genre themed artists and writers, with a particular focus on their special guest, The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman.

If you are a fan of the undead, the Amazing Arizona Comic Con is offering a “Walking Dead Premium Package” that includes head-of-line privileges, priority seating at panels, a bag full of Walking Dead swag, autographs, and an exclusive “Meeting/Panel” with Kirkman.

All ticketed attendees will receive a free Walking Dead #1 exclusive variant comic, with a special cover illustrated by legendary comic creator, Rob Liefeld. For an additional fee, on Saturday and Sunday, there will also be an autograph opportunity with The Walking Dead television star, Danai Gurira (Michonne).

Many of the artists who contributed to the popular Walking Dead trading card set (including Alex Kotkin, Ashleigh Popplewell and local artist Jeff Pina) will be on hand for the “Zombie Sketch Experience,” where you can get  an original sketch cover for The Walking Dead #115 variant ($25 per cover.)

For the ladies who refuse to let being dead get them down, the convention will also be hosting a “Zombie Beauty Pageant” on Friday evening, Jan. 24. There are rules and contestants must pre-register. You can get all the details at: AmazingArizonaComicCon.com.

In addition to all of the zombiemania, Amazing Arizona Comic Con also features a huge collection of both local and national creative talent and exhibitors, including:
