CoKoCon has announced that alternate history science fiction/fantasy scribe Harry Turtledove will attend the convention as author guest of honor.

CoKoCon, a sci-fi/fantasy con taking place over Labor Day weekend (Aug. 31-Sept. 3) at the Doubletree by Hilton Phoenix North, merges the CopperCon and ConKopelli conventions, with sponsorship from both the Central Arizona Speculative Fiction Society and the Western Science Fiction Association.

Comic book artist and Nexus co-creator Steve Rude is the guest of honor representing artists, and the duo Cheshire Moon represents filk (folk music meets genre fandom). Beth Cato was also named local artist guest of honor.

Adult memberships are currently $40 (but door prices will be higher), with half-price admission for children ages 7-12; children 6 and younger are free with an adult member, limit two. A convention block of rooms is available.
