Defend the Earth at Video Games Live

You already know about the chances to win tickets soon to Video Games Live, April 7 at the Mesa Arts Center. No? Just follow Nerdvana on both Twitter and Facebook and watch for trivia questions that will qualify you for the drawing for one of five pairs of tickets.

And you know about the other exciting giveaways and the costume contest that go with the event. But did you know that you can blast aliens old-school, too?

A special VGL-branded Space Invaders cabinet is touring with the show, and it just may pop up at the MAC stop as well. The player with the highest score by the end of the night will receive “an amazing collection of over 200 old school licensed video games for your PC,” according to the folks at VGL.

So get ready to test your skills against one of the most popular games of all time!

UPDATE: The Space Invaders contest won’t be taking place during the Video Games Live stop in Mesa.
