Voyage Trekkers, the homegrown online sci-fi comedy series, gets a debut screening 8 p.m. tonight at Phoenix’s FilmBar, 815 N. Second St. They’ll be showing the first three episodes of the release from Inside Creative Minds and Squishy Studios at the 21-and-over venue. Admission is $5, and there will be a cast and crew mixer starting at 7 p.m.

You can check out the first episode above: The brash Captain Sunstrike (Adam Rini) is in the vile clutches of the evil Draudis lizard men (think the reptilian Gorn from the original Star Trek) and only his faithful crew, ship’s Doctor Rena (Gabrielle Van Buren) and Commander Powell (Logan Blackwell), can rescue him.

Or … can they?

Check out some promotional stills below, including a fun shot of director Nathan Blackwell tangling with a lizard man over the script, and a Japanese-style movie poster.
