Revenge may be a dish best served cold, but Khan Noonien Singh is a spicy dish best served on the big screen.
CopperCon Revolution, the next major event from the Central Arizona Speculative Fiction Society, isn’t happening until Aug. 8-11 in Mesa, and guests of honor have yet to be announced — but CASFS is gearing up to raise public awareness of the convention with a special 30th anniversary screening of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, 8:05 p.m. Jan. 17 at Tempe Pollack Cinemas. Even better, the screening will also include “Space Seed,” the Original Series episode of Star Trek that introduced Ricardo Montalban’s eugenic superman, at 7 p.m.
Admission is $10 or free with a CopperCon Revolution membership, which currently costs $30 at www.coppercon.org. Youth tickets for ages 7-12 cost $15 and up to two children through age 6 are free with a paid adult membership. Membership prices go up after Dec. 31 and will be $55 at the door.
