60 Minutes dropped in on a Hollywood recording session of John Williams’ score for The Force Awakens, complete with a starstruck J.J. Abrams and several bars of the new film’s soon-to-be-playlisted soundtrack.
What’s new sounds a lot like something from the Indiana Jones series. It’s our first listen to the new score, which is released as a soundtrack along with the rest of the film’s merchandise Dec. 18. (Granted, some of the score may appear in the film’s trailer, but that also could turn out to be trailer-specific.)
Be sure to catch 60 Minutes this Sunday for more of the interview with J.J. Abrams.
