During the Streamy Awards late Sunday night, the second season trailer for Mortal Kombat Legacy II dropped for all the Internet masses to see. The trailer teases that the next season will focus on the actual Mortal Kombat tournament, as well as shows off who will fight for Earthrealm.

The confirmed roster of characters representing Outworld appears to be Kitana, Mileena, Ermac, Scorpion, and everyone’s favorite evil sorcerer, Shang Tsung (played again by Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa). The Earthrealm warriors will include Raiden, Kenshi, Johnny Cage, Stryker, Sub-Zero, and Kung Lao.

Surprisingly enough, the trailer features Liu Kang, often known as the hero defender of Earth in the games, as a bitter drunk fighting on the side of Outworld. Other characters featured in the previous season such as Sonya and Jax appear to be missing this time around, and a few actors such as Matt Mullins who played Johnny Cage and Ryan Robbins who played Raiden, are not reprising their roles in the newer season.

The season is slated to kick off in the middle of 2013, but an official start date has yet to be determined from the Machinima.com channel. Check out the teaser trailer below.
