image001Tempe Marketplace will host a Star Trek video game truck 5-9 p.m. Friday, April 26,, giving everyone a free chance to try the new interactive adventure starring Kirk and Spock against the mighty Gorn in an original adventure penned by award-winning writer Marianne Krawczyk (God of War). The game’s release today (April 23) on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC comes just weeks before the much-anticipated May 17 release of Star Trek Into Darkness.

There will be free, special-edition posters while supplies last, and chances to win VIP seats to see the new movie.

Recently William Shatner, the original Captain Kirk, sat down with his Gorn nemesis of old for a rematch using the new game. The results were … about what you’d expect:

The East Valley Tribune is giving away three Xbox 360 copies of the Star Trek game. Like their Get Out Facebook page to qualify.
