The Time of the Doctor: Iconic poster artwork, stills from Matt Smith’s festive finale

The Time of the Doctor

The BBC has released a new set of images from the Doctor Who Christmas special, “The Time of the Doctor,” which will see the epic final battle of Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor. These sneak peeks include movie poster-style versions like the one above that have graced recent episodes, as well as a few still captures from the episode itself (nothing spectacular, but hit the jump to see them all).

I love the clockwork motif and the suggestion that this incarnation’s greatest enemies will face a reckoning before he takes a bow.

For a teaser trailer, synopsis and showtime for “The Time of the Doctor,” I’ll refer to you this earlier post.
