Not-so-Optimus Prime?
For Amazon Prime customers who’ve enjoyed the savings edge a pre-order can give them, things are changing — and not for the better. The company is replacing the current 20 percent discount on physical game pre-orders with a flat $10 Amazon promotional credit on “select games.”
“All eligible pre-orders placed before August 28 will still receive the 20 percent discount under the existing program once the game is released,” the company said Monday.
Look at it this way, Primers: We still have perks like the free shipping, unlimited video streaming, music library and more … for now.
Streaming service Twitch, which is owned by Amazon, has also cut ad-free viewing from the benefits offered by a Twitch Prime membership. Awesome.
