It’s official: Harrison Ford returns as Indiana Jones in a fifth adventure film set for July 19, 2019.
So, who belongs in a museum, now?
Steven Spielberg will direct the film, and Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and fellow Amblin Entertainment co-founder Frank Marshall will return to produce.
“Indiana Jones is one of the greatest heroes in cinematic history, and we can’t wait to bring him back to the screen in 2019,” said Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn in Tuesday’s official announcement. “It’s rare to have such a perfect combination of director, producers, actor and role, and we couldn’t be more excited to embark on this adventure with Harrison and Steven.”
That’s literally all we know at this point.
