Guys, we’re getting closer every day to the second Fantastic Beasts movie and J.K. Rowling is dropping information on a new character to hold us over until the November premiere.
During intermission for the “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” play on Broadway in New York, Rowling and Jessica Williams revealed who Williams will be playing in the upcoming Potter film.

Williams will be playing Professor Eulalie, otherwise known as Lally Hicks. Now who exactly is Lally Hicks? What we know so far is that Hicks is a Professor at the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (that’s the American version of Hogwarts). Her area of expertise has yet to be announced.
Williams is a major Potter fan and overjoyed on being a part of the magical world Rowling has created.
“Those movies and books, especially the books, were so important to me,” she said in an interview with EW. “I could not have fathomed that when I was in the fourth grade reading these books, there would be a character I play that exists in this universe. It’s insane to me.”
The former Daily Show correspondent was added to the Crimes of Grindelwald cast last year, but who exactly she’d be playing was been left a mystery until yesterday.
