Actor Andrew Koenig, who played the wacky neighbor “Boner” in the 1980s sitcom Growing Pains — and is the son of the original Star Trek’s Ensign Chekhov, Walter Koenig — has been reported missing in Canada.

Police described the 41-year-old as “despondent” and are asking for anyone who may know where he is to contact them. He lives in California but is a former resident of West Vancouver, British Columbia, where he had been visiting friends and was last seen Feb. 14.

Sci-fi news site Airlock Alpha describes Koenig as an active improv performer and a lifelong social justice activist, having recently been involved in supporting the repressed people of Myanmar/Burma and protesting against the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
