Discover the next adventure of Starfleet. Watch the first look trailer of the highly anticipated season two premiere of Star Trek: Discovery, which makes its epic return to CBS All Access in early 2019! Premiered at Comic-Con International in San Diego during the series’ Hall H panel with cast and executive producers, this trailer previews the continued voyage of the U.S.S. Discovery and its crew’s mission to discover new worlds and new life forms.

Star Trek: Discovery’s second season will launch in January, according to Deadline.

In addition to Anson Mount coming aboard as Enterprise (and, apparently, Discovery) Captain Cristopher Pike, we’ll see onetime movie Mystique and The Librarians Guardian Rebecca Romijn as Number One, an iconic role originated by late Final Frontier “first lady” Majel Barrett-Roddenberry in Star Trek’s original pilot, “The Cage.”

Ahead of the Discovery season premiere, CBS All Access will present four spinoff “Short Treks” this December featuring Disco characters Saru, Tilly, Harvey Mudd and a new human character named Craft who finds himself alone (?) on a derelict starship.
