Later this month, BBC America will examine the final seasons of the original Doctor Who before the series was canceled in 1989. (More on that here.) Ahead of that retrospective, they’ve released a clip from the episode they will be screening alongside the documentary, 1988’s “Remembrance of the Daleks,” featuring a fun scene between Sylvester McCoy (who played the Doctor at the time and is now featuring in the Hobbit films) and Joseph Marcell, who a couple short years later would become familiar to American audiences as the cynical butler along side a young Will Smith on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
There you have it — your connection for party games between Fresh Prince and The Hobbit. You’re welcome.
I have always loved that scene. It’s very 7th Doctor.
Great Episode as well.
