Gifts for the Geeky: For all the good little fanboys and girls

Nerdvana contributor Emily Whitmore returns with even more … Gifts for the Geeky!

For those with more specialized tastes, the search for holiday gift ideas becomes a bit narrower. But what do you get the fanboy or girl who has everything?

For Trekkies

Star Trek Energy Drink Romulan Ale $1.95 – A great stocking stuffer for night owls. Also, although deemed illegal by the Federation, there’s also an “official” recipe for all you bootleggers out there.

SFA License Plate Frame $15 – A subtle tribute to the training facility for Starfleet officers, this license plate frame is a welcome alternative to the tired “My other vehicle is a starship” bumper stickers.

Red Shirt cologne $30 – I just love this scent for its slogan, “Because Tomorrow May Never Come.” Other scents available are Tiberius Cologne for MenPon Farr Perfume For Women and Sulu Pour Homme – Excelsior Cologne.

Phaser replicas $5 to $600 – Set your gift recipient to stun with his or her favorite incarnation of the standard energy weapon in Starfleet’s arsenal.

* I’m super bummed that Etsy seller Coolbeans717 sold her Retro Sci-Fi Space Communciator Gadget Case- Fits iPhone iTouch and More ($20) and announced she would no longer be taking orders for the holidays. This was by far the most clever idea for an iPhone case I have ever seen. Keep an eye on it and maybe she’ll have more in stock in time for your favorite Trekkie’s birthday or something.

For Star Wars fans

Millennium Falcon Auto Sun Shade $20 – Turn your loved one’s car into the cockpit of everyone’s favorite bucket of bolts. The collapsible nylon shade measures 24″x52″ and fits most cars.

Space Slug Oven Mitt $20 – Does your Star Wars fan love to cook? Then he or she will get a lot of use out of this ferocious-looking gift! The best part about this oven mitt? There’s a little Millennium Falcon flying out of its mouth!

The Only Remote Controlled Millennium Falcon $60 – This thing may not look like much, but she’s got it where it counts. The craft can move forward, backward and sideways, controlled from up to 30′ with the remote.

Jedi bath robes $70 – These robes come in two styles: Jedi brown or Sith black, leaving you with a choice of which bath–er, path–to take. Made of cotton terrycloth and features a cinch belt and hood, these robes are breathable enough for a rousing lightsaber duel, followed by a relaxing evening watching the suns set with a nice glass of warm blue milk.

For the other fanatics

Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver of the 11th Doctor $26 – This collector’s item is an exact replica of the Gallifreyan multipurpose tool used by The Doctor himself. Although this one only  lights up and makes timey-wimey sound effects, British engineers are researching what it would take to make a real device capable of moving and manipulating objects using only ultrasonic sound waves. Other cool Doctor Who-related gifts: Dalek drink coozie ($12) and Doctor Who’s TARDIS- round pendant and necklace ($15).

World of Warcraft Cataclysm MMO Gaming Mouse $100 – Allows players to program all 14 buttons with over 130 preset game commands and store profiles and settings directly in the mouse. Other cool World of Warcraft-related gifts: Murloco’s Tacos T-shirt ($20 – $23) and the Horde Keychain ($10).

70th Anniversary – Official Daisy Red Ryder Range Model Air Rifle BB Gun $50 – Find out what all the fuss was about for Ralphie in A Christmas Story–just be careful not to shoot your eye out! Other cool A Christmas Story-related gifts: An assortment of Leg Lamps ($40 to $200) and the Little Orphan Annie secret society Decoder Pin $8.
